Safety

Every decision we make prioritizes the safety of our people, our communities, and the environment.

Our environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) policies and programs are among our highest priorities. Our strategy centers on reducing incidences of injury at our facilities, both small and large. Trinseo maintains a culture of rigorous investigation, corrective action, and continuous improvement that is then applied over many years, to deliver a world-class set of internal policies, processes, and procedures. Through the dedication of our employees, we have achieved an injury rate of 0.25 per 200,000 hours worked, which places us among the upper echelons of manufacturing companies for safety.

Additionally, in 2022, we completed the Responsible Care® recertification process and successfully completed the external Responsible Care® Management System (RCMS) Audit in September. Our manufacturing facility in Dalton, Georgia, U.S., and Global Operating Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania, U.S., were included in this audit. Integrating Acquisitions for EH&S Data

A detailed and comprehensive integration plan has been developed with facility leaders at our recently acquired companies—Heathland, Aristech Surfaces, and Arkema’s PMMA business—to assess and close the gaps between their practices and Trinseo’s management system requirements.

Safety Management System

Our integrated management system is certified at a corporate level by the ACC RCMS® specification and external audit certification process, which was recertified in 2022. Additionally, each of our global facilities is a member of the comparable Responsible Care® organization in their respective countries. All facilities comply with, and maintain, local certifications of the management system.
