Trinseo is the third leading producer of MMA in Europe, manufacturing this high purity monomer at our Rho, Italy plant for a wide variety of applications.
As an integrated producer of PolyMethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) in Europe, Trinseo is manufacturing Methyl Methacrylate monomer. Trinseo is well-known from its customers for the reliability and the quality of its supply service.
As a large consumer of MMA worldwide, the primary use of Trinseo MMA is to produce plastic PMMA material. Trinseo commercializes acrylic resins, beads, sheets and blocks under the ALTUGLAS™ tradename in EMEA and PLEXIGLAS® in the Americas.
However, the use of MMA is not limited to PMMA applications. With its reliable and refined properties of stability, resistance, strength, radiance and durability, MMA is used in a large number of high-value applications:
