As environmental protection is no longer a trend but instead a genuine concern for most, increasing the use of sustainable materials has become a priority for consumer electronics companies looking to lower their environmental footprint.
On March 12, Trinseo was invited by a long-standing partner and customer to conduct an online training session to a team of senior sustainability experts, senior materials experts and product engineers in the Asia-Pacific Region. During the event Trinseo’s materials specialists introduced the company’s breadth of sustainably-advantaged materials for Consumer Electronics, like the EMERGETM ECO family of post-consumer recycled (PCR) containing resins and APILONTM 52 BIO, a TPU containing raw materials from renewable sources.
The training also touched on industry development trends and challenges. Using practical applications examples, Trinseo specialists explained how using sustainable materials does not compromise performance.
